New Poll and the Results of Last Week's Poll

It looks like a few of you agree with my decision for last week’s poll; I chose nonfiction. The question was: Between writing fiction and nonfiction, which do you feel would be the most profitable to writers? See the results here.

Of the 14 that voted, 64% of you chose nonfiction as the most profitable to writers. This wasn’t more of an opinion poll as it was a “pop quiz” type of poll. It is somewhat understood that nonfiction actually provides more money in comparison to fiction writers. There’s always an exception to the rule; if you’re Stephen King, then this poll doesn’t apply!

For those of you who’ve been around here since December, then you should’ve caught one of my earlier posts regarding fiction and nonfiction careers. If you want to read up on the brief post, it is titled Fiction of Nonfiction - Why Not Both?

Now, on to the next question!

When writing or reading, which fiction genre do you favor the most?
