New Poll and the Results of Last Week's Poll
Well, there were some interesting results from last week’s poll. The question was: What do you feel is the most important trait that makes an average writer a great writer? Of the 22 participants that voted, about a third (36%) voted that “Persistance & Discipline” was the most important trait. I agree wholeheartedly with this selection.
I believe if you apply yourself diligently, and intelligently, you can overcome all of the obstacles that writers face in their lives. You don’t need to have been born with talent. Originality isn’t necessary (look at all of the topics that have been rehashed!). Grammar related problems shouldn’t stop you from being successful. But if you quit and don’t pursue the craft, well, there’s nothing that can really fix that. I’m sure some of you might disagree. If you do, feel free to comment on this post to tell me why.
I’m really enjoying these peeks into your minds, so I’ve got a new one for you. This week’s question is relatively simple: At what time of day do you find the most inspiration and motivation to write?
Don’t forget, the poll is in the middle of the left sidebar. I’ll also leave a link below the poll to this post, if you feel like commenting about your choice.
